The suburb of South Yarra is one of Melbourne's most affluent inner-city suburbs. It is bordered by the Yarra River in the north, Prahran in the south, Albert Park in the west and Toorak to the east.

South Yarra features lots of interesting things to see and do for people who are ready to explore and experience surprises at every step.

South Yarra has plenty of things to see and do for the discerning visitor, including:

  • The Jam Factory - With its exclusive retail outlets, cafes, restaurants and large cinema complex.
  • Fawkner Park - The 40 hectare reserve of Fawkner Park consists of several sporting ovals and tennis courts.
  • Herring Island - Situated right in the middle of the Yarra River and accessible only by boat, is a 3 hectare reserve featuring BBQ and picnic areas and a sculpture park.

South Yarra has a large selection of open space and parkland for visitors and residents, including plenty of places to have a picnic and a network of shady pathways.

The Yarra river features walking and bicycle paths running through parkland along the river bank with panoramic views of the city and riverfront available from the several bridges which cross the river.
